There is one thing that I have found I despise as a preacher. I hate it when someone will listen to a message I have worked for 25 hours studying, and systematically laying out from Scripture from the pulpit, and then have them say, "I dont agree" and say nothig else. Let me make myself clear- disagree all you want. It is healthy...if you do so from Scripture. Ah, but Matt are you saying that unless I spend all this time studying Scripture that I cannot disagree with you? No, I am not saying that, but I am saying that the degree of confidence by which you hold your opinion must be married to the text. If you are ignorant of the text than why do you feel so strongly about your opinion? Ok, rant done.
